Grand Canyon Rim to Rim Road Trip
Flagstaff, AZ is the perfect place to kick off your iconic 6-day southwest excursion to Grand Canyon and the Painted Desert. On this adventure you will enjoy the best of Grand Canyon’s South Rim including convenient in-park lodging, an eagle-eye view of the canyon from a helicopter, a breathtaking smooth water float trip through Horseshoe Bend, and an adventure into gorgeous Antelope Canyon. Next, you’ll head to the North Rim through spectacular Vermillion Cliffs to enjoy the other side of the canyon. Up next is a true canyon adventure on a 3-day trip including scenic flights, helicopter rides, a stay at a true western dude ranch, whitewater rafting on the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, sleeping out under the stars, a jetboat ride, and a relaxing return trip to the South Rim. After one last night to enjoy Grand Canyon, you’ll set out on a scenic drive through the beautiful mountain town of Flagstaff, AZ before descending Oak Creek Canyon into the unforgettable red rock mecca of Sedona, AZ. You’ll enjoy the decadence of a resort in the desert where views and comfort go hand in hand. You’ll quickly set out on the road to arrive at Zion National Park where you can leave the driving to someone else as you enjoy an adventurous 4x4 backcountry Jeep sunset tour with sweeping overlooks of the red rocks. A day of trekking the Zion Narrows brings with it unparalleled slot canyon views and the refreshing cool of the Virgin River rushing across your legs. When you depart Zion, you’ll enjoy a scenic drive across the area that includes opportunities for stops at numerous national and state park sites as well and the must-see, world-famous Horseshoe Bend overlook of Grand Canyon. You’ll enjoy three nights in Page, AZ that include a Lake Powell kayak trip where you will paddle to premier access to an isolated part of Antelope Canyon for exploration and photographs as well as a enjoy a flatwater rafting trip on the Colorado River that includes Lees Ferry, Horseshoe Bend, and ancient pictographs. Your drive from Page to Grand Canyon’s South Rim includes gorgeous views of the Painted Desert and a historic native trading post before you explore the Desert View Watchtower at the edge of the canyon just inside the national park. Desert View Drive brings you to your hotel conveniently located inside the park and adjacent to the vistas and historic buildings in Grand Canyon Village. The next day you will trek into the canyon on a scenic trail that offers sweeping vistas and up-close access to the many colorful rock layers. Finally, you will travel like they used to, by setting out on old Route 66 road trip from Williams, AZ to the Hoover Dam for a look inside this engineering marvel. Your night in Vegas includes a stay at a famous casino hotel, right in the heart of the Las Vegas strip and all the action. Your trip home departs from the Las Vegas Airport the next day. Epic Southern Utah Adventure
Utah is home to some of the most beloved national parks and epic southwestern red rock landscapes in the country and this epic 12-day trip is designed to show you the best of the best, with both backcountry adventure and front country comfort built in. Your trip starts in Las Vegas, NV and you’ll head north to the quieter side of Zion National Park with time to explore scenic Kolob Canyons both from the car and on foot. The next morning you will head uphill to the highest elevation national park visitor center at Cedar Breaks National Monument where you will take in views of magnificent red rock hoodoo formatons. Your next adventure begins on horseback where you will embark on a journey from the top of Bryce Canyon to the bottom, with epic hoodoo views along the way. The next day you’re off to Kodachrome Basin State Park to enjoy red rock views and hikes that are so beautiful the park was named after the Kodak film that used to capture them. In Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, you will explore isolated and little-known slot canyons that are full of both adventure and beautiful photo ops. The next day you will get a chance to take a hike and cool off in the refreshing waters of a rare desert waterfall at Calf Creek Falls. A full day 4x4 adventure takes you to the hidden views of the Grand Staircase all the way to Capitol Reef National Park before you travel back over to spend two full days in Zion National Park taking in the views and enjoying hikes on trails or through the cool waters of the Narrows. At Zion you will also set out on a backroads UTV adventure to a scenic private access slot canyon that you will explore in depth on foot. At the end of your Utah adventure, you will head back for one final night in fun-filled Las Vegas where you can dine, shop, game, or take in a show.
