You will enjoy every minute of the stunning drive up to Grand Canyon that takes you through ponderosa pines forests, aspen groves, and iconic western sagebrush landscapes. In Tusayan, AZ, prepare to see Grand Canyon for the first time in the most dramatic way possible. Once on board your helicopter, you will fly over the forest to a breathtaking view of the world’s largest canyon dropping out below you. Finally, you will head into the national park where you will enjoy convenient lodging that is only a few minutes' walk away from more awesome South Rim views and an easy stroll through historic Grand Canyon Village.

Day 2: Canyon River Adventure – Smoothwater Rafting and Antelope Canyon

Explore Grand Canyon from a whole new perspective as you fly to Page, AZ to see the canyon from the water on a smooth water rafting adventure. Take off from Grand Canyon Airport for a scenic and easy flight to Page which takes you over the spectacular colors of the Painted Desert and Horseshoe Bend on the way. From Page, you will explore Lower Antelope Canyon with a Navajo guide who will share the canyon’s unique story and most photogenic spots. Next up, you will board river rafts to adventure down the Colorado River on a flatwater float trip. Gaze far up at the canyon walls above as you enjoy this relaxing float that includes stops at ancient Native American pictographs, a catered beachside lunch, and ends at Lees Ferry. From there a comfortable coach bus will take you back to your South Rim lodging via the Cameron Trading Post, a southwest shopping destination for authentic Native American jewelry, pottery, rugs, and more.

Day 3: South Rim to North Rim Road Trip Adventure

Day three takes you on a road trip through the stunning Grand Canyon scenery, the Painted Desert, Vermillion Cliffs, and Marble Canyon. Before you leave the South Rim, you will explore Desert View Watchtower where you will enjoy the Native American artwork found throughout the watchtower as you climb to the top for an unforgettable view of Grand Canyon and the Colorado River. Once you leave the national park, you will have countless options of places to stop for short hikes, great photos, and maybe even a glimpse of an endangered California condor perched below the Navajo Bridge. You’ll also find some unique and funky eateries as you make your way to the North Rim including a must-stop for famous Jacob Lake Inn cookies and milkshakes. You’ll find yourself back in beautiful ponderosa pines forests for the night as you settle into your comfortable lodging.

Day 4: North Rim Exploration

Grand Canyon’s North Rim offers a quieter and cooler experience than the South Rim and day four will include many new experiences and vistas. Next, set out on the North Rim’s scenic drive where an easy-to-drive dirt road will take you to numerous great trailheads, overlooks, and picnic areas. Stop as much or as little as you like to enjoy the higher views that this side offers. A relaxing sunset dinner wraps up a great day spent exploring.

Day 5: North Rim to Flagstaff

You’ll have a chance to stop at anything you missed on the way up to the North Rim, but today’s real destinations are Wupatki and Sunset Crater National Monuments. At Wupatki you will learn about indigenous lifeways and have a chance to explore some unique multistory Puebloan architecture. At Sunset Crater, you will feel like you’ve stepped onto another planet as the you adventure into the volcanic landscape which is full of unique geology and plants.
