Tour Itinerary Details

Day 1: Las Vegas to Zion National Park

You’ll touch down in the City of Lights which provides a convenient starting point for your Southwest adventure. An easy road trip north will bring you to the outskirts of Zion National Park. After checking into your surprisingly luxurious glamping resort surrounded by red rocks and huge Southwestern skies, you’ll set out on a 4x4 backcountry adventure in a guided open-air Jeep tour of the area. You’ll climb up high to view Zion and Kolob Canyons from above, hitting the summit just in time to watch the rocks change colors in an iconic desert sunset. You’ll enjoy the dark skies as you sleep under the stars in your specially designed glamping tent.

Day 2: Zion eBikes

Avoid the hustle and bustle of one of UT’s favorite and busiest national parks by traveling on e-bikes through Zion Canyon instead. You’ll start off right outside of the park and travel on safe greenways and roads that take you into the heart of the park. You can choose how much exercise you want to get as you stop at the famous views along the way including the Weeping Wall, Emerald Pools, and Zion Narrows slot canyon. Pack a picnic for the day or stop for lunch with a view at the Zion Lodge while you ride. At the end of the day, you will have plenty of time to enjoy the accommodations of your glamping resort including campfires, s’mores, and live music.

Day 3: Zion to Bryce Canyon National Park

Grab breakfast under the red rocks at your resort before you set out on a road trip across the Colorado Plateau. Your drive to Bryce offers nonstop beautiful views along the way, including a drive right through the heart of iconic Red Canyon. Grab a bite to eat enroute at one of the charming family-owned restaurants and take in numerous red rock views from overlooks along the way. You’ll check into your glamping resort for the night where you can grab an al fresco, gourmet seasonal meal before settling in for the night under a carpet of stars, visible right from your bed in your specially designed luxury tent.

Day 4: Bryce Canyon Guided Tour

Sit back and relax as your expert guide takes you to the highlights of brightly colored Bryce Canyon on a guided day tour. This tour is designed to show you the breadth of the park, all the way from the Lower to the Upper Amphitheaters. You can opt into as much or as little hiking as you like so you can get up close and personal with a hoodoo before the end of the day. Throughout the trip, your knowledgeable guide will teach you about the geology, indigenous people, and plants and animals of this high elevation destination. Settle in for another night under the stars as you relax at your glamping resort and enjoy its many amenities and dining options.

Day 5: Bryce Canyon to Lake Powell

The drive from Bryce Canyon to Lake Powell is full of epic views and iconic stops along the way. You’ll drive back through Red Canyon and can stop for a short hike or photo op before heading to Kanab, UT. Kanab is a great spot to stop for a bite to eat before deciding your route to Page. Grand Canyon Guru recommends the scenic route that takes you into the high elevation forests of Jacob Lake, AZ. Here you will find a charming Inn that is famous for their cookies and milkshakes – make sure to buy extra cookies for the road! From there you will have the opportunity to make short stops at Lees Ferry, Navajo Bridge, and the Vermillion Cliffs California Condor release site. You can also opt to stop at any of the many beloved mom-and-pop eateries in Marble Canyon for a cold drink along the way. Once you arrive in Page, AZ you’ll set out on an unforgettable open-air Navajo guided adventure to a secret part of Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend overlook just in time for sunset. Head to your Lake Powell glamping resort for the evening that offers sweeping views and quiet comfort as you sleep again under the stars.

Day 6: Lake Powell to Grand Canyon South Rim

Head out of Page for a beautiful road trip through the Painted Desert. You’ll see not only the famous southwestern red rocks, but also layers of colorful rocks that give this unique desert its name. Stop in at the historic Cameron Trading Post where you’ll not only find exquisite jewelry, pottery, rugs, and more made by indigenous artists, but also a café that sells their famous Navajo Taco, a piece of fry bread with taco toppings on top. You’ll then head into Grand Canyon National Park’s South Rim via the Desert View entrance. Stop at the famous Desert View Watchtower which offers incredible photo ops both inside and out. You’ll be able to stop at numerous canyon overlooks as you drive the 23 miles of Desert View Drive into Grand Canyon Village. Check into your conveniently located hotel inside the national park, and then head out again for some scenic hiking, shopping, or canyon-view dining in Grand Canyon Village.

Day 7: Grand Canyon Helicopter Tour

Wake up and enjoy a breakfast at the famous El Tovar Hotel before setting out on a short drive to the nearby Grand Canyon Airport. While you’ve already seen Grand Canyon from the rim, nothing can prepare you for the thrilling adventure of a helicopter flight over the canyon. Once on board your specially designed scenic helicopter, you will fly over the forest to a breathtaking view of the world’s largest canyon dropping out below you. Take in 180-degree views through the numerous windows and take photos of some of the canyon’s most famous red rock formations from above and the Colorado River far below. You’ll have plenty of additional time to explore Grand Canyon for the rest of the day which could include a short inner canyon hike, joining a park ranger educational program, or setting out on Hermit Rest Road for a famous sunset view with a bottle of wine.

Day 8: Route 66 to Las Vegas

Today offers you a chance to travel like they used to, down historic Route 66. You’ll head out of the national park and arrive in Williams, AZ, a funky town that makes the most of its Route 66 heritage. This is a great place for grabbing something to eat or strolling through the eclectic shops. You’ll then head west and connect back onto historic Route 66 which offers a quieter way to travel. You’ll pass through small towns with cute attractions, refreshing ice cream, and quirky souvenir shopping. Before you get to Las Vegas you’ll stop at the Hoover Dam where you can opt to walk across the top of the impressively high dam or take a guided tour to see the complex workings inside. Once you get to Vegas, you’ll depart from the Las Vegas Airport and take off right over the Strip.
