Self-Guided Itinerary Details
Grand Canyon's West Rim:
Grand Canyon West is a part of the Hualapai Indian Reservation and while it is a part of the Grand Canyon, it is not a part of Grand Canyon National Park. Located a convenient 2.5-hour drive from Las Vegas, this is a great option for people who want to see great views of Grand Canyon without driving all of the way to the national park.
- There are many transportation options for Grand Canyon West including bus and helicopter. Your entrance ticket to the area will include a walk on the glass bottomed Skywalk with a thrilling view straight down to the Colorado River below your feet.
- Once you’ve enjoyed the Skywalk you can plan the rest of the day as you’d like including eating at one of several restaurants, taking the shuttle bus to other scenic Grand Canyon views, learning more about the Hualapai people during a dance demonstration, or getting the thrill of flying 500 feet above the canyon floor on the zip line.
